Recently Read: For the Love of Physics

For the Love of Physics book coverI recently finished reading what has got to be one of the greatest books on physics.  Not to be confused with a text book, For the Love of Physics: from the end of the rainbow to the edge of time– a journey through the wonders of physics by Walter H G Lewin, not only discusses the basics of one of my favorite science subjects but brings to life what could otherwise be a mystery for those that may not realize that this subject is, indeed, all around us.

Dr. Lewin’s passion for physics has made him a great spokesman for the science.  In his book, he talks about many of his classroom demonstrations and even provides links to videos to watch so you can have the same perspective as his students.  He doesn’t stick to his classroom discussions, however.  He’ll bring you out of doors into the wide world to experience and explain many phenomena.

If you enjoy physics, science, or just wonder about the world around you then I highly recommend reading this book.
